A more comfortable way to understand your bladder health
Why your clinician may recommend Glean
Bladder issues can feel confusing and frustrating. Whether it’s the constant urge to go, unexpected leaks, or difficulty emptying completely, not knowing what’s wrong can take a toll on your daily life. That is why your doctor wants a clearer picture of how your bladder is functioning so they can give you the most accurate diagnosis and best treatment plan.
Glean helps your doctor understand issues like:
- Frequent urination
- Urgency or urge incontinence
- Leaking when you cough or sneeze
- Difficulty emptying the bladder
- Unexplained bladder pressure or pain
By capturing bladder activity in a natural environment, not just during a short artificial test, Glean can help your clinical team understand what’s happening so you can take the next step toward feeling better.

You’re on your way to the answers you’ve been waiting for
Glean replaces the discomfort and stress of traditional urodynamics testing with a simple, private, and more natural testing experience. Glean uses a small, flexible sensor that lets your clinician evaluate your bladder during normal everyday activities – so your care is based on how your body behaves in the real world, not just in the exam room.

What other patients have to say about Glean

I walked into today’s appointment unsure of what to expect and walked out relieved. Today’s experience with Glean was better than I anticipated. The technology is incredible. I am finally going to get real answers.

Glean was a breakthrough. It’s less invasive and didn’t cause any more trauma after everything else I’ve gone through. Glean provided the data we needed and restored a sense of safety and trust in the process.

I’m a middle school teacher; active, busy, and completely over dealing with leaking every time I work out or cough. I came in for my annual exam and my NP scheduled me for a same-day Glean.
It was simple, took roughly 30 mins, and I was in minimal discomfort. Because of Glean, I finally know what’s going on. For the first time, I have a real path forward.

Answers to common questions
What is Urodynamics?
Urodynamics are a series of tests that evaluate how well your bladder, urinary sphincter, and urethra work. These tests focus on how the bladder fills and empties. Physicians will often order this test for their patients with symptoms of urgency to go to the bathroom, leaking urine, frequent urination, or incomplete bladder emptying.
What is Glean?
Glean is the latest advance in urodynamics testing. It provides more privacy for patients during the test compared to traditional urodynamics systems. Glean gives your doctor a clear picture of how your bladder is working and what is causing your symptoms.
What happens during the test?
A small, flexible sensor is gently placed by your care team. You’ll then sit or move around the clinic while the system measures how your bladder is working. Your care team will be with you throughout the process.
What does the test feel like?
You may feel some pressure when the sensor is placed, but most people do not find the test uncomfortable. The sensor is small and placed with care by trained professionals. It’s a safe and gentle procedure designed to get you and your doctor the answers you need.
How should I prepare?
Your doctor will provide you with specific instructions, but usually they will advise the following:
- Arrive with a comfortably full bladder
- You may be asked to stop certain medications
- Let your doctor know if you have a urinary tract infection
